Join Registered Maine Guides Dave and Becca for a day—or a few days—of paddling, exploring, and slowing down in the woods and waters of western Maine.
Our guided canoe trips are less about covering miles and more about becoming part of the landscape. Depending on the day, we might follow a winding river, explore a quiet pond, look for signs of wildlife, listen for birds, swim, share a meal, or simply drift for a while and take it all in.
We believe that meaningful time outdoors is rooted in connection: connection with the land, with the people we’re traveling alongside, and with ourselves. Our trips are personal and unhurried, shaped around your experience, interests, and hopes for the trip. You don’t need to be an experienced paddler or naturalist—curiosity and a willingness to be present are enough.
Whether you’re looking for a gentle introduction to canoeing, a deeper experience of nature connection, quality time with family or friends, or a thoughtfully guided personal retreat, we’d be glad to help create an experience that feels right for you.
Our guided trips offer seamless integration of skills and experiences including:
- Canoeing (paddling techniques, canoe-packing, navigation)
- Wildlife Tracking and Trailing (animal behavior and ecology, track and sign id and morphology, finding and following a trail)
- Wilderness Medicine (WFA and WFR SOLO certifications, wild medicinals)
- The Plants (plant energetics, id, usage, foraging)
- Campcraft (camp kitchen and cooking, knots, fire)
- Outdoor Adventure Skills (Maine ETL, hiking, winter backpacking, rock climbing, and more)
Essential equipment can be provided. Trips may range from half-day outings to multi-day journeys and can be adapted for individuals, couples, families, small groups, and organizations.
