Our Practice
At Northern Songlines, our model follows the natural progression of connection, awareness, and transformation. We begin with the breath, moving from inner awareness to outward tracking of the natural world, and ultimately to the formation of a community—our tribe.
We start with the breath, tuning into our body and inner landscape through meditation and embodiment practices. We begin to awaken our subtle perception and deepen our sense of self.

- Finding Wholeness
- Attuning to Stillness
From this inner awareness, we turn our attention outward to the land, learning the skills of wildlife tracking and nature connection. A sense of deep kinship may begin to form.

- Moving as Stillness
These inner and outer tracking skills lead us down actual trails and metaphorical journeys. We learn to listen to the rhythms of the natural world and uncover the depth of relationship and connection available to us in every moment. A sense of deep belonging may arise.

- Nonverbal Communication
- Shapeshifting
- Immersive Nature Solos
Finally, we come together as a tribe and experience a profound sense of authentic community. From this state of deep self contact, wholeness, kinship, and belonging, we open to a new way of being with one another and with the more-than-human world.
